Pain Relief

The body uses pain as a signal that something is out of balance. This is usually a sign of inflammation or injury. If the pain is not addressed immediately, it can eventually lead to chronic conditions. Taking medications will not repair the damage but will numb the pain and sometimes drive the cause deeper into the tissues and eventually the cells.

At Halton Holistic Healthcare we use a variety of tools to help the body to repair the damage and achieve pain relief.

Acupuncture

ACUPUNCTURE is one of the world's oldest, most successful methods of treating pain and chronic disorder. Before coming to Acupuncture, most sufferers have tried many different forms of treatment, with little or no help. With Acupuncture, 70% of these patients have found relief from symptoms and dramatic reduction in pain.

Many health problems respond favorably to Acupuncture treatment. These include:

An Acupuncture treatment at the Centre is a gentle and relaxed experience. Great care is taken to ensure your comfort and well-being. At the outset, your therapist will ask you a few questions to help ascertain the cause of your symptoms. You will then be placed in a comfortable reclined position in a quiet, private room. Five to ten very small disposable needles are used during the treatment. Most people do no feel their insertion. You will be encouraged to relax, and you may even fall asleep. Your treatment will take 30- 40 minutes.

For those who prefer not to use needles, electronic, acupressure or laser acupuncture may be substituted. Auricular acupuncture is also available.

LOW LEVEL LASER therapy is the application of laser light over injuries and lesions to stimulate healing within those tissues. Do not confuse LLL with cutting lasers. They are not the same. Low Level Lasers have been used successfully for the treatment of traumatic, inflammatory and overuse injuries, pain relief and healing of arthritic lesions, reduction of abscesses and treatment of persistent non-healing wounds such as cold sores and ulcers.
